About

Hey there, welcome to my site and I  hope you learn  a lot from the information in this blog about consolidating your student loans. You will also find other issues sprinkled in but I try to keep these to its sister site at StudentLoansGuide.net .

Just so you know you should read the disclaimer

I guess it’s kind of climbing a mountain – you can learn about student loans from my guide site (this is the “climb happily up the higher education mountain in a lot of debt” part), and then refer to this site to help you repay your loans ( that’s the  “climb back down the mountain and get back to your life” part.

I’ll have to admit though, I did not have to consolidate my student loan. I decided to back to college for about 14 months compliments of Canada Student Loans. I studied hard though and out of the $15,000 or so that I borrowed, our provincial student aid department rewarded me with a $6,500 bursary. That was still $8,500 that I needed to pay back. Of course, I was still working part time and sometimes full time on the weekend, but man it was rough going that first 18 months.

You bet, being a student in debt can be tough. Being a student in a university or college setting and having to pay it all by yourself can be very difficult and extremely expensive. It doesn’t have to be hard, but too many students just keep making the same too many mistakes…and they end up paying for it.

Borrowing money in the form of a student loan is one thing, but paying it all back is certainly another. What can make it worse is when the student has multiple loans built up to the point where making payment is nothing short of painful.

One major method that students can and probably should look into when paying back multiple loans is to consolidate them into one easily managed loan.

As each loan has various fees and interest rates attached, it just makes sense to put all your student loans into one basket so that you only make one payment per month with only one lower interest rate to worry about.

If you are that private student trying to figure out how to consolidate all your loans, hopefully the information here will help you sort through debt consolidation jungle.

So, until the next time I update this page, enjoy my site…and please do leave any GOOD comments and spread the good word.
